Councils

The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce oversees an array of councils dedicated to important community matters. Learn more about each of our councils below.

Small Business Council

The Small Business Council was created to provide our small businesses with resources they can utilize to help their businesses grow. Our membership is 80 percent small business and the top request we receive is networking opportunities. In addition to providing monthly member meetings and after-hour business connections annually, the Chamber strives to provide a voice and venue for those members through our Small Business Council.

The council provides the following events around four times per year each: Power Hour luncheons, Courses and Conversation lunches, as well as Speed Networking timed-events. In addition to these opportunities, we also offer monthly Coffee Chats breakfast networking and a bimonthly Business on the Move that takes networking into the venues/offices of our small business members. These events are designed to give our members optimum exposure to networking at the time that works best for them.

The council also presents the Small Business of the Year Award at the Chamber’s Annual Business Awards Banquet. The award is presented to a member company that has achieved success in its business through growth and quality performance, innovative efforts and active participation in the community.

The council’s event locations are rotated to highlight our member locations and dates can be found on our events page.
