Education & Workforce
With tremendous growth and prosperity bolstering our local economy, there has never been a greater time to invest in the future of our workforce. Employers in every industry are asking the same question: how to educate and retain the most highly skilled workers. World class education and talent development are among the key responses to our region’s question that will build a vital workforce to sustain economic growth and expand opportunity.
The Savannah Area Chamber is committed to creating a business-friendly, regional economy where all are prepared to excel in a competitive market. The Savannah Chamber believes this begins with high quality education for all at the earliest phase of life paired with ongoing talent advancement.
We work continuously with local educational institutions at all levels to help ensure their programs are ultimately matching employer needs and we also strive to ensure future and current talent are provided the resources and professional development training needed to prosper. From k-12 business partnerships and the city of Savannah’s Summer500 student internship initiative to our own Leadership Savannah program, the Chamber actively supports numerous avenues for maintaining a consistent talent pipeline for generations to come.
