Councils
The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce oversees an array of councils dedicated to important community matters. Learn more about each of our councils below.
Small Business Council
The Small Business Council was created to provide our small businesses with resources they can utilize to help their businesses grow. Our membership is 80 percent small businesses, and the top request we receive is networking opportunities. In addition to providing monthly member meetings and after-hour business connections annually, the Chamber strives to provide a voice and venue for those members through our Small Business Council.
The council provides the following events to support our Small Business Members:
Coffee Chats – Monthly, 8:30 am-10:00 am:
Members are invited to commence their morning with a freshly brewed cup of coffee and stimulating business conversations with new clients. Coffee Chats typically see around 50-80 attendees.
Enrich Tuesdays Lunch & Learn –Quarterly, 11:30 am-1:00 pm:
Business owners and entrepreneurs come together over lunch to hear from industry leaders and experienced professionals on strategies for navigating change, leveraging expertise, and driving sustainable growth. This luncheon features an educational presentation followed by networking opportunities with approximately 50 to 80 attendees.
Speed Networking – Semi-Annually, 11:30 am-1:00 pm:
At this fast-paced event, each attendee has 30 seconds to introduce themselves and their company to Chamber members at their table. To keep time moving quickly, attendance is limited to 60 attendees.
Business on the Move – Six times Annually, 4:30 pm-6:30 pm:
This event is the best opportunity for a smaller business to showcase its venue, services, products, food, etc. Attendance usually ranges from 40-70 members. The participating business provides light bites as well as alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks.
The council also typically presents the Small Business of the Year Award at the Chamber’s Annual Business Awards Celebration.
