The Savannah Sports Council is proud to announce a $10,000 donation to the Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion at St. Joseph’s/Candler in recognition of their continued commitment to the Enmarket Savannah Bridge Run and their life-saving work with cancer patients in our community.

For more than 25 years, St. Joseph’s/Candler has been an integral supporter of the Enmarket Savannah Bridge Run, providing dedicated volunteers and essential assistance to ensure the event’s success. The unwavering support has helped shape the Enmarket Savannah Bridge Run, a beloved tradition for participants from across the region, while also fostering a sense of community and wellness.

“We are again pleased to make this donation, as we have done for many years now, to the good work being done at the Lewis Cancer & Research Pavillion.” Joseph Marinelli, President and CEO of Visit Savannah and the Savannah Sports Council, said. “We know that our Bridge Run participants and families thank them for all that they do for our community every day.”

The Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion is a community leader for those battling cancer, offering cutting-edge treatment, the latest clinical trials, and compassionate care to patients and their families. This donation underscores the Savannah Sports Council’s commitment to supporting organizations that make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives.

The Enmarket Savannah Bridge Run, known as the “toughest bridge run in the South,” brings together participants of all ages to conquer Savannah’s iconic Talmadge Memorial Bridge while raising funds for vital causes. The longstanding collaboration with St. Joseph’s/Candler has been instrumental in the event’s ongoing success, enabling the Bridge Run to grow and thrive since its inception.
