The Savannah Sports Council announces Savannah’s selection to host the 2025 USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships, July 21–27 at Savannah State University. This prestigious weeklong event will bring together more than 6,000 young athletes—and their families and supporters—to compete at the highest youth level in track and field.

Beyond the thrill of world‑class competition, the championships are expected to generate a substantial economic boost for our community. Local hotels anticipate near–capacity bookings, while restaurants, retail shops, and area attractions look forward to welcoming an influx of visitors. Increased foot traffic throughout the Historic District and surrounding neighborhoods will create new opportunities for Savannah businesses to showcase their hospitality and unique offerings.
