My Veterans Place Savannah, Inc. will celebrate its 5th Anniversary with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Friday, June 26, 2026, starting at 3:00 p.m., with the official ribbon cutting at 5:00 p.m. As a trusted community partner in veteran support and family stabilization, My Veterans Place is committed to ensuring that no service member, veteran, or military family is left behind. Through comprehensive programs focused on emergency housing assistance, food and basic needs support, mental health resources, workforce readiness, and community engagement, MVP provides a hand up not a handout restoring dignity, stability, and hope. With support from our generous donors, dedicated volunteers, and community partners, My Veterans Place has assisted hundreds of veterans and their families through programs designed to strengthen bonds and rebuild lives. We understand that even one missed paycheck, a medical emergency, or an unexpected expense can push a veteran household into crisis. Our approach is rooted in compassion, rapid response, and restoring hope during crises. We are not just cutting a ribbon; we are opening doors to opportunity and healing for those who served.

This expanded 12,300-square-foot location represents a significant step forward in our mission, allowing us to generate greater support for the mothers and babies in our maternity home program. Barkyard Daycare will celebrate its 1st Birthday Pawty on Friday, July 17, with a community celebration for dogs/cats, families, and friends of Barkyard. Over the past year, Barkyard has grown into more than a dog/cat daycare and boarding facility— it has become a place where pets are cared for like family, given space to play, socialize, and feel at home. This milestone celebration is a thank-you to the customers, prospective customers, team members, and four-legged friends who have helped make Barkyard’s first year so special. The birthday pawty will feature a ribbon cutting ceromony, dog-friendly ice cream from Salty Paws, a Zoom Room agility course, grilled hot dogs and burgers, complimentary non-alcoholic drinks, and plenty of tail-wagging fun. Guests are invited to bring their pups, meet the Barkyard team, connect with other pet-loving families, and celebrate one year of care, connection, and community.
