Visit Savannah staffers, Joseph Marinelli, Supriya Christopher, and Tanvi Chauhan hosted five representatives from various convention trade publications last week in conjunction with the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Savannah Convention Center. These guests produce content and stories specifically targeting regional and national conventions, meetings, and tradeshow planners, helping to spread the word about the center’s expansion. While visiting, they also enjoyed a boat ride on the Savannah River to better understand how all of the hotels along the waterfront support future convention opportunities. Explore Georgia’s statewide tourism director, Jay Markwalter, joined the group for dinner at Cha Bella.
