Visit Savannah Board Chair Pritpal Singh Becomes Area GM for Sage Hotel Management

Last week, senior vice president of operations for Sage Hotel Management John Arnett announced that Pritpal Singh, general manager of Perry Lane Hotel, will be promoted to area general manager effective January 31, 2020. Singh is currently serving as Visit Savannah’s board chair. He began serving on the Board of Directors and executive committee beginning in 2018. He is also on the Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors.

While remaining at the Perry Lane Hotel where he will maintain his responsibilities as General Manager, Singh will also provide oversight into the pre-opening of the UNC Charlotte Marriott, expected to open in Q1 2021.

Visit Savannah president Joseph Marinelli says Singh has been a great board member and leader. “I know I speak on behalf of the Visit Savannah staff and the entire Savannah-area tourism community in offering our congratulations to Pritpal on this well-deserved promotion,” he says. “From the minute he landed in town, he has been engaged, visible and extremely active as a leader in our industry and our community.  And as our board chair this year, we are all proud to serve on his team.”

Singh joined Sage in July, 2017 as the opening general manager of Perry Lane Hotel. Perry Lane Hotel was awarded Marriott International’s “Best Opening Hotel of 2018,” named to Travel + Leisure’s 2019 “it List”- The Best New Hotels in the World, and Singh was given the honor of being named General Manager of the Year 2019 by Georgia Hospitality and Lodging Association.

Prior to joining Sage, Singh was with Loews Hotels and Resorts serving as general manager of The Loews Hotel 1000 in Seattle. He was responsible for the renovation and repositioning of the hotel in the Seattle market. Singh also was responsible for the extensive renovation of the celebrated Loews Ventana Canyon Hotel in Tucson, Arizona.

Please join Visit Savannah and the Chamber in extending congratulations to Pritpal as he continues to support the growth and development of Sage Hospitality Group and Savannah’s tourism community!
