The Savannah and Tybee Island Visitor Information Center teams recently stepped away from their information desks to experience Savannah’s rich history firsthand on the Savannah Black History Bus Tour with Rita Fuller-Yates.

The engaging and uplifting tour highlighted the powerful contributions of Savannah’s Black families through a dynamic blend of historic landmarks and personal stories. Rita Fuller-Yates brought the city’s past and present to life, offering valuable insights into the resilience, culture, and legacy that have shaped the Hostess City.

The experience strengthened the VIC teams’ knowledge and storytelling, enhancing the meaningful connections they share with visitors each day. Thank you to Rita Fuller-Yates for an inspiring and educational tour celebrating Savannah’s Black history.
