Southern Living magazine announced the winners of its 2023 South’s Best Awards, ranking the region’s best cities and small towns.  Savannah was lauded as one of Southern Living’s “Best Cities,” coming in at #2 out of 20, while Tybee Island ranked as “Best Small Towns,”  coming in at #7 out of 50.

“Savannah and Tybee Island again being ranked as top ten visitor destinations by the readers of Southern Living is another huge compliment to both cities having the welcoming Southern hospitality that travelers to this part of the country are looking for,” said Joseph Marinelli, president of Visit Savannah. “Both have the kinds of lodging, dining, retail, tours, and attractions that our Southern Living readers love. Our local residents take great pride in accolades like this one, especially when they come from popular publications like Southern Living magazine!”
