Second Annual Savannah Women’s Half & 5K Sees 2,400 Registrations

The Savannah Sports Council’s Publix Savannah Women’s Half Marathon & 5K saw nearly 2,400 registrations for the race on April 2. Approximately 60 percent of participants competed in the half marathon with the rest competing in the 5K.
The weekend consisted of a New Balance Fashion Fitness Expo on Friday, where many local vendors displayed their products and where New Balance introduced new women’s fitness products. Despite a rainy forecast, the race began at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday and was followed by a fun post-race party with live music by Nickel Bag of Funk, drinks and food. Yoga in Ellis Square wrapped up the weekend on Sunday morning.

Congratulations to all participants who finished the race! Click here to see more photos from the event.
