Gail Eubanks, executive director of institutional advancement & communications at Savannah Tech, recently guided Visit Savannah board members on a tour of the planned new Baking and Cooking Training Center that Savannah Tech is developing in the historic 7 West Bay Street building across from the Hyatt Regency. The facility will one day give students in the culinary program there a hands-on opportunity to develop their skills while serving the public at this high-traffic location. Visit Savannah Chairman Dave Legasse said, “Our industry is in desperate need of talented people to help us with our workforce challenges. What Savannah Tech is doing with this initiative is a real positive for its students, for our industry and for our community.”
