Caroline Boykin and Sarah Iocovozzi of the Savannah Sports Council recently participated in the Georgia Southern University Sport Management Career Fair, connecting with students interested in pursuing careers in the sports industry.
As part of the event, they joined career panels to discuss their professional experiences, the expanding sports landscape across the region, and the opportunities and perspectives of women working in the field. Their insights provided students with a practical perspective on career pathways in sports and tourism.
Boykin and Iocovozzi also spent time meeting one-on-one with attendees, sharing information about the Savannah Sports Council and encouraging student involvement through volunteer opportunities.
These efforts continue to strengthen the talent pipeline while increasing awareness of the growing role sports play in Savannah’s economy and community.
