Joseph Marinelli, President and CEO of Visit Savannah, was in Washington, D.C., last week for Destination Capitol Hill Week, where he represented Savannah and served as a board member of the U.S. Travel Association.
During the annual event, travel industry leaders from across the country meet with members of Congress and federal officials to advocate for policies that strengthen the tourism economy. As the nation’s leading voice for the travel industry, U.S. Travel works year-round with the White House and congressional leadership to address critical issues such as workforce development, infrastructure, and international travel competitiveness.
Marinelli’s participation ensures Savannah has a strong voice in national conversations that directly impact visitation, economic growth, and the continued success of our region’s tourism industry.
