Joseph Marinelli Honored with John P. Rousakis Community Champion Award

Visit Savannah President Joseph Marinelli was presented with the John P. Rousakis Community Champion Award last week by the Tourism Leadership Council at the Savannah Tourism Awards & Scholarship Dinner. Owner of Wet Willie’s Bill Dickinson was also honored with the Herb & Franklin Traub Visionary Award at the event. The recipients of these honors are chosen by members of the TLC’s Board of Directors for their achievements in both the tourism community and the Savannah community as a whole.
The John P. Rousakis Community Champion Award is given to someone who strongly supports Savannah’s industry through their community involvement and work. According to the TLC, Marinelli was selected “for his efforts to market the city of Savannah as a tourism destination and for his active involvement in the community through his positions on many boards and committees citywide.”

Congratulations, President Joseph Marinelli!
