Joseph Marinelli Addresses Joint House and Senate Committee

Visit Savannah president Joseph Marinelli presented the five priorities of the Georgia Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus (GACVB) to the Joint House/Senate Economic Development and Tourism Committee at the 2016 Georgia Governor’s Conference on Tourism last week. Marinelli has served as GACVB’s public policy chairman for the past three years. The organization’s top priority is protecting against discrimination via the Religious Freedom Act (RFRA) and was also supported by the Georgia Restaurant Association, Georgia Hotel & Lodging Association, Georgia Travel Association and Savannah’s Tourism Leadership Council. Governor Nathan Deal was recognized and thanked for his veto of the bill after the last legislative session.
