Interactive Marketing Manager Speaks at eTourism Summit

Last week, Visit Savannah’s Interactive Marketing Manager Zeek Coleman participated in a panel discussion at eTourism Summit in San Francisco. At eTourism Summit, attendees receive updated information on the latest trends in e-mail marketing, search, social media, mobile and web design, and also learn how travel marketers are using new tools to build incremental website traffic for the smallest possible spend.
In the panel discussion, Coleman presented a case study of an advertising effort Visit Savannah launched over the past year during which they were surprised to learn that web traffic driven from an ad placed on a newspaper’s website greatly exceeded that from a more expensive ad placed on a travel publisher’s website. Coleman encouraged the attendees to include digital tracking on all of their ad placements in order to capture measurability and similarly surprising results on their advertising efforts.
