Inaugural Publix Savannah Women’s Half & 5K Sees 2,300 Runners

The Savannah Sports Council’s inaugural Publix Savannah Women’s Half Marathon & 5K brought nearly 2,300 runners to the city the weekend of March 27-29. Approximately 63 percent of participants competed in the half marathon with the rest competing in the 5K.
The weekend consisted of a New Balance Fashion Fitness Expo on Friday, where many local vendors displayed their products and where New Balance introduced new women’s fitness products. The race began at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday and was followed by a fun post-race party with live music, drinks and food. Yoga in Ellis Square wrapped up the weekend on Sunday morning.

Congratulations to all participants who finished the race!
