Larry Browder, Visit Savannah’s Senior Director of Sales, recently hosted convention planners from the Association of Academic Physiatrists as they scouted Savannah for their February 2028 annual meeting. The event would bring more than 1,500 attendees during a traditionally slower period and generate 3,000 total room nights.

During their visit, the planners were especially impressed with the newly expanded Savannah Convention Center, which is essential to their space needs, along with the city’s diverse collection of hotels. They also praised Savannah’s outstanding culinary scene, enjoying meals at Collins Quarter, The Olde Pink House, Vic’s on the River, and a closing dinner at Garibaldi’s.
