Share Your Thoughts on School Superintendent Search

With the retirement of longstanding Superintendent Dr. Thomas B. Lockamy, Jr., coming at the end of the 2016-17 school year, the Board of Public Education is conducting a superintendent search to fill the district’s top position. The independent search firm Ray and Associates, Inc. has been selected to assist the Board in the search process.
A public survey is now available to gain input as to the top qualities desired in a superintendent. The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System now serves more than 38,000 students and employs close to 5,600 employees and is invested in selecting the right person to lead.

The survey will remain open until 8 a.m. Tuesday, February 21. Please click here to participate!
