Mayor DeLoach Needs Partners for Summer 500 Internship Program

It’s that time of year again! Savannah’s Summer 500 student intern program is kicking off for the year and needs your help! Join the City of Savannah for Summer 500’s recruitment breakfast Tuesday, February 26 from 8:30-10 a.m. at the DeSoto Savannah.
Created by Savannah Mayor Eddie DeLoach, the program begins with a week of career skills training for high school students on June 3 followed by eight weeks of employment at area businesses. Participating businesses will provide hands-on summer work opportunities and reinforce soft skill training that students are exposed to in the first week.

With workforce development being identified as a top priority for the Savannah Area Chamber and many others in the community, we believe this is an investment in our future workforce that will have an impact for years to come. We hope you will join us to ensure its continued success.
