PLANT RIVERSIDE DISTRICT

The Kessler Collection is proud to invite Chamber members and the public to the groundbreaking ceremony for Plant Riverside District, a 419-room J.W. Marriott luxury hotel. The 670,000-square foot property will also include retail space, 13 food and beverage outlets including 3 rooftop bars, an art gallery, a live music venue to accommodate 700, a 484-space parking deck and a 1.5 acre public park along the river. GOODWILL OF THE COASTAL EMPIRE

Goodwill of the Coastal Empire opened its new Savannah flagship store on Thursday, November 17. As the community’s partner in workforce development, Goodwill trains people to work – because jobs change lives.

Through the community’s support of Goodwill’s stores, donation centers and business services Goodwill is able to help individuals in overcoming barriers and disabilities with a hand up, not a hand out. As a result, they delivered more than 7,020 hours of youth mentorship with our Good Guides program, placed 1,401 individuals into employment and served more than 5,100 people in our Job Connection Centers in 2015.
