Surcheros® Fresh Mex Reopens with Community Celebration

Surcheros® Fresh Mex hosted a customer appreciation celebration and ribbon cutting on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at its location on 8108 Abercorn Street, Suite 420. The event kicked off an exciting week of special offers. The restaurant, known for its customizable, fresh Mexican cuisine, is open seven days a week and offers ample indoor and outdoor patio seating, along with convenient options for pick-up, delivery, and catering. To mark the occasion, the first 50 guests received a free regular entree. Shop Amber and Fig Boutique Expands to Downtown Savannah

The downtown retail scene grew larger last week as Shop Amber and Fig Boutique celebrated the grand opening of its second location on Wednesday, Oct. 22. The new store is in the heart of the city at 10 Whitaker Street. Starting as an online-only operation in 2020 before opening its first storefront in Richmond Hill, the boutique brings women’s contemporary clothing and accessories for the girl on the go. The curated selection features quality pieces from trusted vendors and unique finds from local women-owned businesses. Guests at the ribbon cutting enjoyed sips and bites while exploring the beautiful new space. The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce congratulates Shop Amber and Fig Boutique on its expansion and welcomes its distinctive style and commitment to supporting women-owned enterprises to the downtown area.

Digital Equity: AT&T Opens Connected Learning Center at West Broad YMCA

The mission to strengthen digital access for local families gained momentum with the official opening of the AT&T Connected Learning Center at the West Broad Street YMCA on Thursday, Oct. 23. This new facility, which marks AT&T’s eighth such center in Georgia, is the result of a proud partnership between the telecom company and the historic YMCA. It provides students and families with indispensable resources, offering a dedicated space where they can access crucial connectivity and learning tools. This collaborative effort underscores the belief that connectivity is key to possibility for all of Savannah’s youth. The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce congratulates AT&T and the West Broad Street YMCA on launching this vital community center, which is committed to supporting the educational advancement of our region.

DeLoach Lupus Foundation Marks Five Years of Community Impact

The DeLoach Lupus Foundation Savannah celebrated a significant five-year anniversary of community impact, advocacy, and awareness on Saturday, Oct. 25. The foundation hosted its annual event, Operation Hope: Wellness on the Eastside Health & Resource Fair, at the Savannah Gardens Green Space. The celebratory day, which included a ribbon cutting at 6 p.m., focused on connection and community care. The free, family-friendly fair offered wellness education, yard games, music, and a moon bounce. The foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for lupus patients and increasing public knowledge of the disease by providing targeted support and education.
