Sweet Expansion on River Street: Savannah’s Candy Kitchen Opens Third Savannah Location

Savannah’s iconic River Street grew a little sweeter, as Savannah’s Candy Kitchen officially celebrated the grand opening of its newest storefront at the West End. Located at 427 W. River St., the family-owned confectionery marked the milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, welcoming community members and sweet lovers to explore its latest location. For more than three decades, three generations of candy makers at Savannah’s Candy Kitchen have brought handcrafted Southern confections to locals and tourists alike. Known for signature homemade pralines, pecan pies, and saltwater taffy, the multi-generational business continues to deepen its roots in the Hostess City. The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce congratulates Savannah’s Candy Kitchen on its continued growth and celebrates this delicious addition to the historic River Street district.

DoubleTree by Hilton Savannah Airport Celebrates Property Refresh

The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce officially celebrated the refreshed DoubleTree by Hilton Savannah Airport with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and evening reception. Located at 50 Yvette J. Hagins Dr., the hotel welcomed community leaders, travelers, and local business professionals to tour the updated property. Guests enjoyed live music, signature cocktails, local craft beer, and hors d’oeuvres, capped off with a “Sweet Tour” dessert finale and a celebratory sparkler toast. Attendees also had the opportunity to win “Golden Key” giveaways featuring complimentary two-night stays. The Chamber congratulates the DoubleTree by Hilton Savannah Airport team on successfully launching this enhanced guest experience and continuing to serve as a vital hospitality hub near the airport corridor.

Savannah’s hospitality sector welcomed a practical new lodging option as Echo Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham celebrated its official ribbon-cutting ceremony. Located at 185 W. Mulberry Blvd., the new hotel gathered local business and community partners for an afternoon celebration marking its arrival to the area. Designed specifically for extended-stay guests, Echo Suites aims to serve professionals, relocating individuals, and long-term visitors with comfortable, affordable accommodations. Each room features modern amenities, including full in-room kitchens and functional living areas designed for longer-term living. Positioned near the bustling Savannah and Pooler commercial hubs, the property offers convenience for business travelers and economic growth in the corridor. Festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Savannah Visitor Information Center, with the official ribbon cutting taking place at 10:45 a.m. Founded by local entrepreneur Garrett Zajac, this unique 75-minute tour transforms Savannah’s Historic District into a live, competitive game show. Riders split into Team Biscuit and Team Gravy, using built-in seat buzzers to answer city trivia led by a retro 1960s host, complete with prizes and interactive rounds. Community leaders, residents, and visitors are invited to help us welcome this high-energy addition to Savannah’s tourism scene!
