Beyond the Plate: The Dive Savannah Celebrates Five Years of Mission-Driven Hospitality
The local community gathered in the Whitfield Center Garden to honor a half-decade of transformative service as The Dive Savannah celebrated its fifth anniversary. Led by founder Kristy Crill, the ribbon-cutting ceremony marked a milestone for an organization that has evolved into a vital partner for Chatham County’s first responders and medical professionals. The Dive Savannah distinguishes itself through a unique social enterprise model; rather than relying on government funding, the organization sustains its mission through high-quality catering services and weeknight family meals. Over the past five years, this excellence-driven approach has enabled the team to help more than 500 individuals enter recovery programs and facilitate over 1,000 family reunions. By blending professional hospitality with a deep commitment to ending homelessness, The Dive Savannah continues to restore hope and dignity to the region’s most vulnerable residents. The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce congratulates The Dive Savannah on five years of incredible impact and applauds their innovative, community-fueled approach to service in the Lowcountry.

This collaborative effort, led by the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of Savannah, the Downtown Business Association, the Greater Savannah Black Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Development Center, Savannah’s Waterfront, StartUp Savannah, and the Metropolitan Savannah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, highlights the vital role local shop owners play in maintaining our city’s unique character. By committing to “Shop Small” residents and leaders are making a direct investment in the neighbors and places that make the Coastal Empire home. The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce encourages the entire community to show their support and celebrate the resilience and creativity of our small business sector all year long.
