Kilwins is celebrating the grand opening of their first Savannah location on Wednesday, February 11 at 1PM. Although Kilwins has more than 75 years of history, they are new to Savannah, and the owners are very excited to be a part of the Savannah community. The art of making Mackinac Island Fudge is unique to Kilwins and they invite everyone to watch and sample what they create in store on opening day. Kilwins is also known for their ice cream with unique flavors like Sea Salt Caramel, Mackinac Island Fudge, and of course Georgia Peach-all available to sample. Guests of Kilwins are in for a delightful and memorable experience each time they visit. Kilwins is also committed to giving back to the community. From creating meaningful jobs to supporting local events, hosting school tours, and more, Kilwins strives to be woven into the fabric of the community.

Please join Rhowe Design + Build for an open house with Hansen Architects, celebrating the opening of our latest project with our partners, Benchmark Group and Vantosh Commercial Group. Located at the historic C&S Upholstery Building at the corner of Bull and West 42nd streets, this ribbon-cutting ceremony marks the completion of a major adaptive reuse project that has transformed a former warehouse into a revitalized commercial hub for the Starland District. The rehabilitation of the building included the restoration of original historic storefronts and facades, breathing new life into the area. The space will be home to Benchmark’s new Savannah office; Specials, a new restaurant concept from the team behind Late Air; and Linen and Leaf, a retail concept focusing on antiques, home decor and a personalized flower and tea bar experience. An additional five tenant spaces are available for lease. The open house is hosted by Hansen Architects, Rhowe Design + Build, and Vantosh Commercial Group, offering Savannah’s business and entrepreneurial community the opportunity to tour the available spaces. Each tenant space is a blank slate for customization based on unique business needs. Hansen, Rhowe, and Vantosh will be onsite to answer questions for potential new tenants. We look forward to sharing an early glimpse into this exciting new addition to Savannah’s business community.

Live Oak Public Libraries will reopen the historic Carnegie Library on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 10:30 AM, following renovation and restoration. The Library, originally opened in 1914 with funding from local African American Savannahians and the Carnegie Corporation, is reopening under a new name, the Carnegie Library Heritage Center, to preserve and celebrate its powerful
legacy. Through museum-quality exhibits, oral history recordings and interactive displays, the Center will honor the library’s role as a beacon of knowledge and community empowerment. Including the Carnegie Library Heritage Center, the Live Oak Public Library system consists of sixteen branches in three counties. Join us in celebrating the grand reopening of the Gray’s Reef Ocean Discovery Center. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m., the center will host the family-friendly “Earth is Blue” Block Party until 3 p.m. Come explore the newly reimagined, museum-quality exhibits and enjoy the exciting, family-friendly environmental and sustainability block party in the heart of downtown Savannah. This one-day celebration will mark a major milestone for ocean literacy and conservation engagement in our region – and we want our community and partners to join us in celebration. The free event features local vendors, hands-on activities, and food and drink. Event vendors and activities will be held across the street in the adjacent parking lots.
