The Chamber is proud to share that member Irini Sevdalis, owner of By Irini New York, was recently awarded first place in the Self-Funding Compassion Category at an international skincare competition held in Atlanta, Georgia, and hosted by The Skin Games. This prestigious award celebrates estheticians whose work embodies compassion, care, and community impact.

While this recognition is a major personal milestone for Irini, she shared that the award carries a deeper meaning:

“This award is not just a personal achievement; it’s a reflection of the trust every woman has placed in me, the stories shared within the treatment room, and the quiet moments of healing that have taken place there.”

Irini didn’t enter the competition seeking accolades, but rather to showcase the quiet, powerful ways she brings kindness and compassion into her work. A newer resident of Savannah, she says her intention was to honor and thank the local community—particularly the women who have embraced her and supported her business since her arrival.

With a long-standing commitment to creating healing spaces for women, especially those affected by trauma, mental exhaustion, or abuse, Irini believes that “beauty is more than skin deep,” and that “a genuine gesture has more power than words.”

We celebrate this well-deserved recognition and thank Irini for the heart-centered work she brings not just to her clients, but to Savannah as a whole. She continues to express interest in supporting local charities and causes through her esthetic services, with a mission-driven belief that:
