The Chatham Savannah Authority for the Homeless along with the Salvation Army, U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Savannah State University, Union Mission,and many others will be sponsoring a “Stand Down for Homelessness Resource and Job Fair” on September 20, 2022.
A trolley will run from three squares (Ellis, Franklin, and Reynolds), as well as the Savannah Baptist Center, to the Salvation Army Community Center located at 3000 Bee Road, where the actual fair will take place. Participants will be provided with resources such as haircuts, health screenings, lunch, vaccinations, eyeglass fittings, and care packages.
Employers with openings are also encouraged to participate in a job fair running from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. the same day.
