Visit Savannah and the Savannah Sports Council are pleased to welcome Karissa Pendleton as the new Director of Sports Sales. Pendleton will focus on attracting new sporting events to Savannah, boosting hotel bookings tied to sports tourism, and expanding relationships with event organizers nationwide.

With nearly a decade of experience in sports tourism, sales, and event management, Pendleton most recently served as Sports Sales Manager for Visit Galveston and previously spent five years with the Florida Sports Foundation, managing major events, industry partnerships, and grant procurement.

“Karissa’s extensive background in sports event sales and management aligns perfectly with our goals for future growth,” said Joseph Marinelli, President & CEO of Visit Savannah. “Her enthusiasm, energy, and leadership will be a great addition to our team.”

Based in Savannah, Pendleton will collaborate with local partners to elevate the region as a premier sports destination.
