Visit Savannah recently joined more than 9,500 attendees in Washington, D.C., for the Girl Scouts’ triennial national convention.

During the event, the Visit Savannah team had the opportunity to connect with Margot, the great-great-niece of Juliette Gordon Low, the Girl Scouts founder and Savannah native. Her family connection served as a meaningful reminder of Savannah’s important place in Girl Scout history.

Visit Savannah partnered with representatives from Savannah Riverboat Cruises, the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force, Telfair Museums, and the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia to showcase the destination’s unique attractions, history, and group experiences.

Together, the partners promoted Savannah as a must-visit destination for Girl Scout troops, councils, and families from across the country. The convention provided an important opportunity to strengthen relationships, share Savannah’s story, and generate future Girl Scout travel and group business for the community.
