Senior Director of Sales, Larry Browder, recently represented Visit Savannah at the Smart Meetings Annual Customer Event in California, where more than 150 top meeting planners from across the U.S. gathered to explore destinations for upcoming corporate and association conferences.

During the event, Larry met individually with over 25 planners in a series of one-on-one “speed date” sessions to share exciting updates about Savannah’s growing meetings and convention offerings. Planners were especially enthusiastic to hear that the Savannah Convention Center expansion is now complete and that the 444-room Signia by Hilton is slated to open in 2028, further enhancing Savannah’s appeal as a premier meetings destination.

The response was overwhelmingly positive—one planner even remarked, “Now I can finally bring my annual meeting to Savannah!”
