Visit Savannah’s PR team recently attended the Travel South Global Media Summit in Mobile, Alabama, joining tourism and media professionals from across the South and around the world for several days of networking, story development, and destination promotion.

Representing Savannah were Supriya Christopher, Director of Public Relations, and Tanvi Chauhan, Manager of Communications. Throughout the conference, the team participated in more than 30 appointments with journalists, editors, broadcasters, and travel storytellers from domestic and international outlets.

During these meetings, the team pitched timely Savannah story ideas highlighting the city’s culinary scene, luxury hospitality offerings, arts and culture, and experiential travel opportunities. Beyond scheduled appointments, the summit also provided valuable opportunities to build relationships with tourism leaders and media representatives from destinations across the globe.
