This initiative is a key component of Visit Savannah’s annual business plan to attract both international group tours and FIT (Foreign Independent Travelers), ensuring Savannah remains a must-visit destination for global travelers.
The 2025 conference drew more than 900 attendees and featured valuable market updates and educational seminars on booking trends, air capacity, and evolving traveler preferences.
Marinelli, Shea, and the Explore Georgia team met with more than 40 of Europe’s top tour operators, strengthening relationships and promoting multi-city itineraries that pair Savannah’s Historic District and coastal charm with Georgia’s mountains, Golden Isles, and Atlanta gateways.
The trip was held in conjunction with Brand USA, which outlined its international marketing strategy leading up to America’s 250th anniversary in 2026 and the FIFA World Cup, which was also coming to North America that same year.
Partnering with Explore Georgia and Brand USA amplifies Savannah’s voice on the global stage—ensuring the Hostess City shines brightly in the international spotlight.
