Visit Savannah Engages Hotel Partners with Sales Team Updates

Visit Savannah’s Domestic Group Tour and Sports Sales teams recently hosted two tourism updates for hotel partners in Midtown and the Pooler/Port Wentworth area.

The day began with a breakfast meeting at Element Savannah Midtown, where hoteliers received an overview of tourism trends affecting Midtown and the Savannah market. The Convention Sales team also explained how it works to attract meetings and conventions to the destination.

For the afternoon session, more than 25 attendees gathered for a luncheon at DoubleTree by Hilton Savannah Airport, including representatives from the Pooler Chamber of Commerce and local government. The discussion highlighted the positive impact of sports tourism, including increased investment in athletic fields and sports facilities.

The Domestic Group Tour team shared market trends, future opportunities, and ways hotels can participate in the Vendor Showcase for an upcoming familiarization tour. The Sports Sales team also presented information about facilities and venues throughout the region.

Attendees received greater insight into Visit Savannah’s lead distribution process and had opportunities to ask questions, share feedback, and update property information.

Both events reinforced the importance of strong hotel partnerships and helped ensure regional properties remain informed, heard, and connected to Visit Savannah’s sales efforts.
