Visit Savannah and Visit Tybee Teams Rediscover Local History at the Andrew Low House
The staff from the Visit Savannah and Visit Tybee Information Centers recently took a field trip to immerse themselves in local history with a guided tour of the Andrew Low House and Museum.
The outing was a resounding success! Even for those who had toured the landmark before, everyone walked away with fresh insights about the home’s architecture, its storied past, and its most famous resident, Juliette Gordon Low—founder of the Girl Scouts of the USA.
This hands-on refresher not only deepened the team’s appreciation for Savannah’s rich heritage but also strengthened their ability to provide accurate and engaging recommendations to visitors from around the world.
It also served as an excellent reminder that Savannah locals are surrounded by extraordinary history every day. We encourage everyone to take a “staycation day” to rediscover the beauty and stories in their own backyard!
