Last week marked a major milestone for Savannah’s tourism and meetings industry with the groundbreaking of the Signia by Hilton Savannah, a 444-room headquarters hotel adjacent to the Savannah Convention Center. Developed in partnership between the Savannah-Georgia Convention Center Authority and Hilton, the property is expected to open in mid-2028.

The hotel will feature expansive meeting space, multiple dining venues, and a rooftop pool, further enhancing Savannah’s ability to host large-scale conferences and events.

Among those who took part in the ceremonial groundbreaking were Visit Savannah President Joseph Marinelli and Savannah Area Chamber President Bert Brantley, joined by hospitality and civic leaders in celebrating this transformative project.
