The Visit Savannah team traveled to Chicago for the Destinations International Annual Convention, where destination professionals from across the globe explored how to build more resilient, welcoming communities through tourism.

Representing Savannah’s spirit of creativity and leadership, Lauren Cleland presented “Bold Strategies for DMOs on Any Budget,” featuring standout campaigns—including our own “Surprisingly Savannah Mobile Tour.” Angela Westerfield joined a session on aligning communities and tourism brands, emphasizing how authenticity and local pride can drive sustainable success.
