This Monday, Savannah welcomed representatives from Invest Georgia for a focused dialogue on the region’s thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem. The visit began with a tour of the Port of Savannah, offering guests a firsthand look at the city’s world-class logistics infrastructure—a major advantage for startups and expanding businesses.
Following the tour, Invest Georgia leaders joined a roundtable discussion with local innovation partners, including Nick Palumbo of StartUp Savannah; Erem Latif of the Savannah Harbor Innovation Project (SHIP); Allen Fox and David Nuckolls of the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD); and Jesse Dillon and Caleb Kitchens of the Savannah Economic Development Authority (SEDA).
Together, participants explored how Savannah’s collaborative ecosystem supports entrepreneurs—from incubation and mentorship to investment and scale-up opportunities.
The Invest Georgia Program is a state-backed, long-term initiative designed to strengthen Georgia’s venture capital and private equity ecosystem. By supporting both emerging and established funds, the program helps create new companies, foster entrepreneurship, and generate sustainable, high-paying jobs across the state.
