Governor Brian Kemp, along with the Savannah-Georgia Convention Center Authority and other local leaders celebrated to grand opening of the newly expanded Savannah Convention Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week. Over 300 people attended the press conference, which was followed by tours of the building and a reception showcasing many of the area’s of the new space.

Governor Kemp commented: “This truly is a landmark day for Savannah, Chatham County and for Georgia. Tourism does mean economic development for our state and this is one more example of that.”
