Savannah Chamber and Visit Savannah Execs Plan for Future Ferry Service

Bert Brantley and Joseph Marinelli recently convened with stakeholders, including CAT, the Savannah Convention Center, former Congressman Jack Kingston, and others, to chart the course for the upcoming ferry service between Hutchinson Island and the Historic District. Faye DiMassimo, CEO of CAT, revealed that the delivery of two new ferries is slated for Fall 2024, with a third expected by late 2025. The group strategized enhancements for the landings near City Hall, the Waving Girl, and between the convention center and Westin. With the convention center set to undergo expansion, attracting larger events, the demand for increased ferry frequency and service is anticipated to surge.
