Governor Brian Kemp and First Lady Marty Kemp recently joined Visit Savannah President and CEO Joseph Marinelli, along with Angela Westerfield and Lauren Cleland, at the Visit Savannah and Visit Tybee visitor display area at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta as Georgia welcomes FIFA World Cup visitors from around the globe.
With so many international travelers coming to Georgia for the World Cup, Visit Savannah is working to make sure Savannah and Tybee Island are top of mind for visitors planning to explore beyond Atlanta. Visit Savannah has launched a dedicated FIFA landing page on VisitSavannah.com, where all marketing efforts are directed to help travelers plan their trip, discover local attractions, and experience the best of coastal Georgia.
To reinforce Savannah’s connection to the World Cup, Visit Savannah has also hung street banners along Bay Street, creating a visible welcome for residents and visitors while highlighting the city’s role in this global moment.
Beginning this week, Visit Savannah is bringing a taste of Savannah’s hospitality to FIFA fans through an on-site activation at the Georgia World Congress Center, in partnership with Explore Georgia, on all game days. The activation features a shareable photo moment, a video showcasing Savannah and Tybee Island, and visitor guides designed to inspire World Cup travelers to extend their stay and experience Savannah’s history, culture, food, and coastal charm.
