Georgia Insurance Commissioner John King chose Savannah as the first stop of his statewide tour to raise awareness about the open enrollment period for Georgia Access.
The Savannah Area Chamber was honored to work with Commissioner King and his staff to host a roundtable discussion on what this program means for individuals and small businesses. The open discussion about Georgia Access highlighted how important it is for Georgians to have straightforward, reliable information about their health coverage options—and the essential role the business community plays in connecting employees and families to those resources.
Commissioner King shared updates on the state’s move to a fully state-based health insurance exchange and the work underway ahead of the next open enrollment period, which ends December 15. Georgia Access is focused on making the process simpler, strengthening outreach, and ensuring Georgians can confidently choose the coverage that fits their needs.
Commissioner King was especially complimentary of the Chamber members who attended Monday’s roundtable and engaged with thoughtful questions and suggestions.
