Pre-Apprentice Summer Work Program and Summer 500 Internship Programs Wrap Up

This summer, the City of Savannah implemented two internship programs for high school students. The Savannah Chamber, along with a number of other community organizations and businesses, partnered to identify jobs for the City of Savannah’s Pre-Apprentice Summer Work Program, geared toward teens who would benefit from intense education and work skills training, and Summer 500, the summer work program designed for rising seniors. With hundreds of students participating, these important initiatives helped to strengthen the Savannah area’s workforce by ensuring students are fully prepared to succeed in an increasingly competitive job market and secure their career path of choice.
Programs like these are not possible without intense community support and participation. Thank you to all who have stepped forward and invested in the future of our workforce.
