Leadership Savannah Class of 2025 Explores Savannah’s Economic Engines

In July, Leadership Savannah’s Class of 2025 dove into the region’s growth drivers, beginning at the Savannah Economic Development Authority. President & CEO Trip Tollison and Regional Industrial Support Enterprise’s Anna Chafin outlined business recruitment strategies, workforce challenges, and a bold vision for Chatham County’s future.

Next, participants toured the Savannah Chatham Manufacturing Center, including SEOYON E‑Hwa Savannah—a Tier 1 supplier to Hyundai Motor Group—which spotlighted global investments and the vital role of local manufacturers in Georgia’s automotive boom.

The day concluded at the Georgia Ports Authority’s Garden City Terminal, where class members witnessed record‐breaking TEU volumes and learned how infrastructure upgrades and strategic planning are keeping the Port of Savannah competitive on the world stage.

This session offered a front‑row view of the partnerships and innovations powering Savannah’s economy.
