Attendees at last week’s Industry Council meeting received both a look back at the past and a view into the future as the Savannah Area Chamber, Savannah Economic Development Authority (SEDA), and the Regional Industry Support Enterprise (RISE) came together for the fall quarterly gathering.
Hosted at the Great Dane headquarters on Technology Circle, preliminary findings from the region’s childcare study were presented. Conducted by Georgia Southern’s Center for Business Analytics and Economic Research, the study offered insights into current childcare availability and projections for future needs in the region.
Benjamin McKay, Director of the Center, walked attendees through the data, which will be released publicly at SEDA’s next monthly board meeting.
The Council also recognized Great Dane’s 125-year history in Savannah, presenting company leadership with a plaque commemorating their long-standing contributions to the region’s economy.
