CNN Names Savannah One of America’s Most Beautiful Places
Just in time for America’s 250th anniversary, Savannah has been recognized by CNN editors as one of the Top 25 Most Beautiful Places in the United States.
The feature celebrates Savannah’s timeless design, historic charm, and enduring green spaces, noting the vision of General James Oglethorpe, who planned the colony of Savannah in the 1730s with geometric squares and public spaces that all residents could enjoy.
Centuries later, that thoughtful design remains one of the city’s most defining features and a major reason visitors from around the world continue to be drawn to Savannah.
