Chamber’s Military Affairs Council Hosts Military Update Luncheon
The Savannah Area Chamber’s Military Affairs Council gathered with various sponsors and community members for a defense update and salute to our veterans last week at The Hyatt Regency. The adjutant general of the Georgia National Guard Brig. Gen. Joe Jarrard and Chris W. Payne, vice president of federal defense consultant Hurt, Norton & Associates shared state and federal defense initiatives and discuss how the Savannah area’s bases are positioned for the future. Also speaking at the event were Bill Cathcart, civilian aide to the secretary of the army and Fort Stewart’s chaplain Maj. John Wilson, who led the invocation.
