NEWS
Since October 1, more than 225 federal employees—TSA agents, FAA staff, air traffic controllers, and Customs and Border Protection officers—have been keeping Savannah/Hilton Head International running safely and efficiently while working without pay due to the ongoing government shutdown. These public servants show up every day for our travelers and community. Now it’s our turn to show up for them.
How You Can Help
• Gas or Uber gift cards to ease commuting costs
• Boxed lunches or meal vouchers for on-shift meals
• Monetary donations to address urgent needs
• Discounts or special offers (e.g., 0% interest personal bridge loans from financial institutions)
Next Steps
If your organization can contribute goods or services, please email Erica Backus at EB*****@*************er.com for more information on coordinating pick-ups.
Monetary donations can be made directly to the United Way by clicking HERE. The United Way is coordinating a streamlined process for collecting and distributing all donations to ensure they reach those in need efficiently and effectively.
Thank you for your compassion and commitment to Savannah’s airport community. Together, we can support those who continue serving our region.
