The Savannah Downtown Business Association kicked off the year with its January State of Business in the Region luncheon, featuring a joint panel of chamber presidents from across Coastal Georgia who shared insights on the economic trends shaping 2026.
Savannah Area Chamber President and CEO Bert Brantley delivered an optimistic outlook, noting Savannah is projected to outperform both state and national economic growth this year. He described 2026 as a “year of opportunity,” urging businesses to remain agile as market demands evolve.
Panelists—including leaders from the Black, Hispanic, Pooler, and Bryan County Chambers—highlighted priorities such as State Capitol advocacy, record-setting manufacturing growth, workforce challenges, including childcare and housing, and the importance of regional collaboration.
The luncheon reinforced a shared commitment to regional unity and ensuring economic growth benefits businesses of all sizes across Coastal Georgia.
