Chamber President Covers SPLOST, LEADS Nashville, Other Topics at CFO Council

Savannah Chamber President & CEO Bert Brantley appeared in front of a few dozen Savannah’s CFO Council members last week, covering the upcoming SPLOST campaign, the LEADS Nashville trip, and other topics important to our business community.

“The CFO Council is a terrific group of financial professionals committed to becoming more involved in our region,” Brantley said. “As you would expect, the discussion was thoughtful and forward-looking, and I really appreciate being able to cover some important topics.”

The bulk of the conversation centered around the upcoming SPLOST vote in November. Brantley shared a newly created map that identifies the areas where SPLOST projects are located and asked attendees to consider donating to the campaign that will inform voters about the election. A website will be available soon, and a kickoff event will serve as the campaign’s official starting point.

Brantley also discussed the LEADS Nashville trip that will take place this week. More than 70 leaders from around the region will spend three days in Nashville learning about similar challenges their area has faced, and what solutions they have used to address issues.
